Gartner: Google desktop search not enterprise-ready
"Responding to Gartner's comments, Dave Girouard, Google's general manager of enterprise products, said that the tool was never intended to be an enterprise-ready application in its current incarnation and that the company is working on a more robust version for large-scale deployments."

If Gartner actually read the license they wouldn't have put out this FUD piece. Google clearly stated that the search was for single user machines only because of what it searches for.

Also the article touched on Google and Microsoft being the fierce rivals, but do not underestimate Yahoo in this area either. Especially with the number of people that have the Yahoo Toolbar installed, Yahoo could take a chunk of the users too.
