Forget Hydrogen - we need to go electric
Forget all of this technology that will only reduce emissions and is many years into the future.

We have a technology that will get rid of automobile emissions completely that is available now.

If you want, you can get an automobile that gets the equivalent of 135 mpg, and goes from 0 to 60 in four seconds. In addition, it produces no emissions, and can go 250 miles on a single "tank." It's very safe and the technology is inexpensive. And yes, it's available now.

It beats the pants off of any hydrogen vehicle. Why in the world are we so interested in a car that uses magnesium, only goes 155 miles, still produces some CO2, uses an explosive gas, and costs hundreds of thousands of dollars? We have much better alternatives.

I'm talking about the electric car, which is feasible now and is only getting better as battery technology improves. I think it's our best chance and I think it's the best alternative to gasoline. If you want to go on the occasional long trip, you can go with a plug-in hybrid, which is still much better than straight gasoline and on short trips keeps all the advantages of an electric.
