The newer T-8 electronic ballast
fluorescents have resolved the flicker issues. Also they come in a variety of colors. I don't have my chart in front of me at the moment, but the new lights, including the LED's are now hitting a variety of color spectrum's. As many now know, it's not the wattage but the color of the light that will be a determining factor in lumince.
