I don't always want to think that there is some devilish plan and lie for marketing value.

Communication back then was pretty piss-poor and the American Government or the press may not have known that others were already doing it.

But how are we to reteach the common folk (with no knowledge) without getting into some asinine argument. Sometimes it's just easier to let people believe what they want to.

Still no definitive evidence that Columbus introduced chickens to the new world. Gonna have to go back to the chicken place and have them remove that silly sign.
