Herin lies the problem...
People just don't see the logistics of offering a solution. I ask how much it is worth to get free electricity (for the lifetime of the system), free heating (also for life) and half the energy needed for transportation and the response is that they want to spend half of what they spend now.

I guess there's no value in saving the planet, avoiding the oil company rape, energy independance or avoiding pollution which causes thousands of deaths per year.

How is someone supposed to fund such an endeavor without some price premium. Business plans need to show a profit before investors will bite, ya know. With such a system, don't you think it'll cost extra to circumvent the entrenched companies that stand to go under if such a system cost half the price now paid?

To those with the lists of problems with such a system, let me just say that there are companies hunting funding that have solved them all. Night storage is done by storing heat in a tank, peak needs that met creatively, excess being made available to your car's needs. All of it.

The problem is that today's crop of investors are so greedy they don't want to touch a business they can't control and eventually sell or take public. Today's philanthropists are unapproachable for any sound ideas. And lastly, today's grants double the company size to cover the red tape. A private company wanting to stay private has zero chances these days.
