Doesn't take a genius
to figure out that there will PROBABLY be a big quake in the area before 2032. That's what, a 26 year window for something to happen? California gets hit by mini-quakes ALL of the time. The magnitute just doesn't register very high. I've only seen about three quakes in my lifetime and only actually FELT one of them. And they were all within the past 20 years I believe. Regardless of whether or not you are waiting for a quake or other natural disaster you should have an emergency kit and a backup plan. That's just common sense to me.
