If a family actually does turn off the computer for a week (and not let TV and video games be an alternative for it), chances are they will realize that it was a pretty darned nice week!

Especially when the end of the week comes and the kids powerup the devices and the chaos returns.

PC-Turnoff Week is an awareness thing. Maybe when more people are aware of what life could be like without these things on all of the time, they'll take your advice and do it more often.

Hey, I love computers, blogs, email, the web, digital cameras, photoshop, online billpay.

But there are big parts of me that need to be fulfilled by reading books, getting outdoors, enjoying face-to-face interactions with real people (not their online personas)...
