I'm sorry, what?
When I said it would kill the economy here, by here I meant America, not India. The companies stop offshoring, prices rise, people can't afford it and boom! At no point in my previous post was I being righteous. On the contrary, I said that there are bad people everywhere so everyone should stop blowing this whole incident out of proportion.
About knowing the language fluently...I'm Indian and I've had a 100 average in almost all my English and Humanities courses here (in America)and I know many of my friends from India who could blow people out of the water with their language skills. At least we know how to read and write a foreign language. People here can't even do that for their native language.
What was that about 'a sense of pride in helping others'? India sent off it's ships to help the Tsunami victims in other countries withing 48 hrs while it was also hit by the tsunami and had to cope with it. Try beating that.
Actually 'aide' means assistant and 'aid' can mean assistance or assistant. So the person who used 'aide' actually meant 'aid'. So I'm right and you're looking at the wrong dictionary.
