What dumb foreign students?
Top level foreign students have bailed from the US education system in droves. Universities love foreign students. They pay huge out of state tuition bills. Now that the so-called department of homeland security has made it more difficult to attend a US university combined with the fact that the US is really starting to suck, these students go elsewhere. With less top level students in a degree program the program degrades. Hence what you are witnessing: US universities performing poorly compared to their peers internationally. These foreign students at foreign universities graduate and now have jobs waiting for them because of outsourcing. Of course its a fraction of what the US pays, but the cost of living over there is a fraction of what it is over in the US. The result: More top level foreign students attend universities not in the US. The degree programs at those universities improve (its a function of the so-called bell curve). Outsourced jobs provide careers at graduation paying what would be considered a good salary for the area. The economy of what would otherwise be a third world crap hole improves. The U.S. is losing a lot of its "land of opportunity" status. Look at China. They can't build the factories fast enough. Look at India. Farming communities like Bangalore are building skyscrappers at a record pace for all the US companies.

Face the facts: Most of those U.S. students were U.S. students.

Just wait until the U.S. real estate bubble pops. You better hope we still aren't dumping $80 billion plus a year into Iraq then...
