Unless you don't have the skill or lack the time.

There are jobs where you just have to hire the pros or you pay big time in the end. I've seen homes ruined by people cheaping out and thinking they could do it themselves. It's pretty sad to see a home's value go from $300,000 to $80,000 because a person doesn't know what they were doing and screw it up. I've even seen jobs were house is basically worth zero due to lack of permits before the reno and to get the permit the reno needs to be removed.
