Metric is better
The metric system was begun by a French revolutionary committee that decided to make changes because of the superiority of Frenchmen in that time and place.
And don't say it's a more rational system and

Hey, this passage caught my eye and actually hurt because it is totally off the mark. The reason France introduced the metric system was that every city and district had measurement units with identical names, but different values. This unsatisfactory state of affairs existed throughout Europe and Britain and people got diddled by merchants left right and centre.

So you are telling us that a tiny minority of people using imperial, or USC units. knows better than the rest of the world? How come? Please explain on what criteria that assumption is based?
And while you at it please tell me why American children have to waste precious school time and resources on learning 2 measurement languages when the whole world does fine with practically one? If the current system ids better because it is used, I wonder why you ever bothered switching from horse and cart to car? Looking forward to your views.
