... is what is required for any attempt at sustainability that is to be taken
seriously. The article has a subheading suggesting that the physical
architecture has been considered as part of the overall design, but then
talks only about the cooling systems.
And there is no mention whatsoever about responsible use of the
enormous amounts of waste heat generated by data centres, typically
enough to heat an olympic size swimming pool.
Green data centres have a long way to go before they are worthy of the
name.
Our architectural practice has put a good deal of thought into these
issues, which we are happy to discuss.
