That was a very interesting read esp for those of us that are younger and were just getting into the PC game back in 2000. It seems like Intel managed to luck out after all with this platform to me - total returns aren't measured over a few years, but the lifetime of the product. In this case the product may have died, but the tech and ideas that came there-from put Intel on the mobile map today, so you can argue both ways here.

Anyway, its good to see an article on ZDnet that actually discusses a little known aspect of PC tech without resorting to using fanboy flame-bait - very refreshing. My only question is why this article now? Of course the mobile revolution is exploding so its timely, but it just seems a little strange to pull a story from 2000 out of seemingly nowhere.
