*1. Illegal aliens are not excluded

I can agree on that one, I would rather all of the illegal immigrants just be forced to do things the legal way. Perhaps a short work-visa and then a nice LEGAL path to citizenship

Better yet how about we ship them out or deny them access until they decide to follow OUR laws. This is OUR country. I can guaran-damn-tee you if we tried this in their country we would be drummed out in a heart beat of a hummingbird... or imprisoned and fined to oblivion.

*2. Congressmen are excluded (remember all the rhetoric about every American deserving the same health coverage that they get?) Do as I say not as I do.

Congressmen make a lot of money. They can afford insurance, they really can. This is for those who CAN'T.

That's a problem too, how about we trim their wages back into the realm of competitive AND force them to adhere to the same living standards as the people they REPRESENT! That means they have to use the same medical, dental and other facilities we do. They have to live off of similar wages than we do. They are not special nor do they deserve even a fraction of what they get in forms of payment.

If anyone does it would be the men and women in uniform actually DEFENDING THE CONSTITUTION! I served 14 year got out on a medical due to injuries received. The danger and difficulty and hardships these VOLUNTEERS have to live with far exceeds the pittance they receive in compensation.

When I see congress critters being blown to bits and shot at and sleeping in mud pits... then I could justify their excessive wages, until they they get no respect or pity from me.

*3. It does nothing to ensure private health plans will be able to compete and stay in business

No, the companies ensure that they can compete by lowering prices to where it can be afforded. It isn't the government's place to hold up a failing system. It is their place to FIX the system when it's broken.

Actually he is right, there are provisions in the bill that essentially are designed to kill the private sector insurance companies off. Read the bill... it's over 1,000 pages long. And I think it's on page 1,031 where it clearly states the intent. I am going by memory so the page may be wrong.

*4. It will balloon an already inflated federal deficit by another trillion dollars over the next 10 years (by their own estimation which is always about half of the real cost)

It will be paid for by eliminating some spending the government already makes into the healthcare system AND by limiting the line item deductions for the wealthy.

Actually no it won't essentially they are going to have to tax the middle class that already have health insurance so they can cover their costs. One more thing to look at is many of the European nations are now faltering under their socialized medical systems.

From 1996

Ton of links to do some research on

From Britainnia

Another more focused look

And from the Jews...

So in the end all this will do is force the wealthy to move their money and businesses elsewhere (look to California for an example of that...) and the small to medium businesses to collapse and wipe out the middle class. Essentially by the time everything would be said and done we would have gone from being a first world nation to a 2nd or 3rd world nation... and no one would get shyte.

I have a better idea, regulate the current system into reality and compliance. And stop messing with a system of rewards by effort that built this nation from a dirt ball to a leader in technology and innovation. Amazing how many people overlook what actually built this nation. devil
