Let me rephrase
Steve Ballmer is to Microsoft a mouth piece who talks of a specific direction while his company is moving another. Not really dumb, but unaware of what is going on. He reminds me of the guy who tries to sell me products but has no clue what he is selling. Sure he's read the white paper marketing jargon, but he doesn't actually have a clue when it comes to backing up what he is selling.

Ray Ozzy is leadership I approve of. My own company had a shift like that. At times having a guy just direct us with solutions is nice, but also being able to get a consensus and have everyone move forward together is the superior direction in the long run. If he can pull it off, all is well. If IBM buys MS out, well, it was fun while it lasted.
