RE: India's IT growth to slow down in 2009
Perhaps you fail to understand how outsourcing works; it's not charity, and neither is it "leeching", as you put it. YOU Americans hire Indians to do work because it's cheaper for you. Just like YOU Americans hire Chinese to make stuff you don't need, at a price you think you can afford. If YOU stop buying Indian software and Chinese wares, outsourcing will all come to an end. It's YOUR companies doing the outsourcing. Would you have them stop? And while you are at it, you might want to have Coke, Pepsi, KFC, McDonalds, GE, Westinghouse, Intel, Microsoft, Oracle, Caterpillar, IBM and so forth from selling their wares in India, China and other countries of this world. The profits of these companies in foreign countries come back to the US, and shows up on wall street. American companies have gone into other markets and bought out or killed local competition. Ford owns/owned Jag, Land Rover, part of Mazda, Aston Martin and probably few more. GM and Chrysler have their own list of foreign car companies they took over, and funneled the profits back to the US. Where do you think the budget surplus came from, during the Clinton years?

Bootstraps, pal, bootstraps.
