>> 2) We have a global economy.

Global economy has nothing to do with H1-B since they live within the country where they work.

>>We want to wear sneakers that cost 50 USD, and not 300 USD. We want t-shirts that cost 5 USD and not 100 USD.

When you buy a foreign product (again this has nothing to do with H1-Bs) you are actually paying more than you think. The excess of foreign products Americans purchase compared to what we create causes national debt. National debt raises inflation. Inflation effects you when you try to make large purchases. In otherwords, the 50 USD sneakers actually will cost you 95 USD when you figure in the purchase of a car or house.

>>My point is that for some things we can be efficient, but not everything.

Americans are just as efficient as anyone else. Or are you trying to say cheaper?

>> Globalism means winning and loosing.

Please explain the benefits of "globalism" besides cheaper foreign products.

>> It means being active and willing to take a wage cut when necessary.

And this is good for what reason?

>> Hey I had to when I was contracting! Not nice, but that's life...

Contractor: working for the lowest bid with little or no benefits and wishing they had the skills for a permenant job somewhere.

>> I think what is new is that instead of textiles or manufacturing being hit, it is Hardware and Software.

When the textiles and manufacturing jobs went away it caused a huge swell of blue collar workers being unemployed. You want this on the "white collars" too? What is your reasoning for such horrible choices? Why dont we kill every first born child while we are at it and start a nuclear war.
