Someone get stiffed for the bill at the local pub?

Really, if you'd get past your position and go back and READ my post you'll see that I made a completely different point than you've tried to characterize.

Here it is again:
The fact was (and still is) that while the CONCEPT of H1-B visas were quite good the RESULT of those visas were that highly qualified foreign workers were being exploited while highly qualified US workers were being ignored. The game has always been to craft the "job requirements" as narrowly as possible and thus ignore the benefits of retraining and retaining the workforce already present.

I'm saying that H1-B as IMPLEMENTED exploits BOTH foreign and domestic workers. The result now is that you have these IT job postings that are alphabet soup demanding rediculous amounts of extremely specific abilities without any thought going into how you might retain and retrain your current workforce (both foreign and domestic). H1-B and the temp force approach to IT in general are just ways for lazy management types to keep headcount down without any thought to quality.
