Sorry, sadly, you're wrong
I must say it's good to see an author responding in the Talkback section.
However, while H-1b is good in theory; it's my opinion that it?s used by companies to exploit cheaper foreign workers. I have seen this happen in, not 1, not 2, but 3 separate companies. I have personally seen managers SPECIFICALLY seeking foreign workers (and not just from India), BECAUSE they can offer them less, and work them harder. Seen and heard with my own ears and eyes.
The foreign workers are happy with lower pay and worse working conditions than an US worker.
Is it legal? Probably not. Is that was H-1b was designed for? NO... but that is the reality of it.
