As a foreigner who have stayed in the US for 10+ years I can tell you that I really like to see that most people are honest, hard-working people who value and are dedicated in supporting their families.

Ofcourse there are also many cases of the 'make a quick buck, regardless of means' people who really make for a bad impression.

The majority of the people are honest and work quietly without complaints. As usual it is the bad apple cases (Enron?) who make the most noise about things.
