Really?! A turd compared to what? Microsoft?

I?ve been reading ZDNET for a while and this is not the first time you?ve used that analogy to describe Linux. While I?m sure it gave you a chuckle?It was barely witty the first time, and it was even less so now.

Keep in mind you?re talking to people that have actually tried it. While I suppose anything taking you out of your comfort zone is intimidating and therefore crap. I?ve seen Linux run multi-million dollar companies with less overhead, less infrastructure, and with greater security than Windows Server quite successfully to spite my best efforts as an MS server admin. If a ?turd? can do that, then I?m opening a fertilizer company.

Let?s say for one moment that Windows is everything you claim. Because I like Windows and really hope it will be. It?s still expensive to buy, expensive to maintain, and elitist to suggest being the ONLY solution. At best, assuming you?re not just ?full of it?, your like one of these middle age men that buys a Porsche and then looks down on every guy that drives a civic.

I understand that it has to be really scary for you, having spent your entire life using and learning Windows and then to have to face the fact that Microsoft?s bad management, obsolete business model, and poor business ethics could make you obsolete and useless in your job. But frankly, if you aren?t willing to learn something new you can?t do the job and you need to get into another line of work.

In the meantime, while you may not like Linux. If you can?t start making some compelling arguments as to,? why?? there isn?t going to be one person you?ll convince you?ve even tried it and you?re just going to sound like a bitter fan boy.
