Incorrect...
Every major carrier in the U.S. has now committed to launching an Android phone. Verizon just restated today that they will be launching one. Sprint has stated that they will be launching one. AT&T is scheduled to launch two in August. Open source has been no hindrance to any of them. What it HAS done is allowed them to easily customize phones to their liking. Maybe you'll get it when the currently reported 18-20 Android phones are on the market by the end of the year.

Well I know of another way to get the server usage stats. When you go to a conference of a major software vendor in a particular field and you ask a question about your Windows based setup and an entire conference room laughs at you because the norm is to run on Solaris or Linux you know Windows isn't being used.
