SCADA systems
are NOT just embedded systems, they are SCADA that means, and mainframe, or cluster or machines (and PC's) on a distributed network, with hundreds or thousands of embedded systems NOT all the same, but all running the same code. There is also the SUPERVISORY part, that is a complex application that runs NOT on an embedded processor but on a multiple redundant server and network system, often distributed, and often racks of Servers and high end machines.

Exceedingly large and complex systems containing millions of lines of code, running on a very wide range of processors and conditions, almost NO two configurations are the same, and the systems are far to large for a single person to code the entire system, but quite often will have a full time IT support team of 40 to 50 technicians and engineers.

So no, your wrong, you clearly have never seen a SCADA system, you think its a few lines of code ona specific cpu and thats it.

If you only knew, for for security, good luck its an exceedingly rare occurance of security problems, and considering they are not on the public network, its a bit hard to hack into it !!

Next time, comment on something you know about.

and thats just SCADA wait until you get into the S&I industry, and start to code for high energy physics experiments, get into RTOS's and sit through weeks for formal software audits. QA papers and procedures, things you appear to have no concept of for the most past.

Do even a tiny bit of research before engaging keyboard. Save embarrasing yourself too much.
