I'm an IT Manager and we're taking an aggressive approach to Win7. We've been testing since February and have found that most apps run better on Win7. If there is a compatibility issue, we use MDOP to virtualize the app to mitigate compatibility issues. One of the big 'wins' for Win7, when thinking about cost, is that it will run WELL on the same hardware you have now and will potentially allow you to extend the life of your hardware. A smart IT manager/director/VP will look through the so-called negatives and see the potential.
