Independent of Microsoft's success or failure
at implementing OOXML, ODF has issues. Due in
large part to it's open format, and admittedly
poorly written implementation standards,
different suites implement ODF reading/writing
differently. Microsoft's situation regarding
the inability to correctly read ODF docs, and
for other suites to read Office's ODF docs is
not unique to Office.

Microsoft really has nothing to do with these
issues as they are largely inherent to the
current state of the ODF standards, not MS
implementatino of it.
