"Open source applications reach maturity"

Well, the two applications that are mature, that is. Same as two years ago.

"Linux preloads on PCs increase"

Thanks to netbooks, which had Linux - for about a month.

"Netbook and Thin Client growth leads to Linux surge"

. . . and wanes when Windows becomes available for them.

"Security issues plague Windows"

. . . and have been since the dawn of time. Truth be told, people aren't buying based on security.

"Computing heads for the clouds"

On ZDNet at least. I dunno about the rest of the world.

Frankly, ZDNet's heads are in the clouds more than the real world is heading for the clouds . . .
