Let's be clear...
1. You have no idea what you are talking about.

2. You have never used Linux, you really don't know anything about it, and you proudly post your less than worthless drivel.

3. AV isn't required with Linux. It has a transparent Novell security suite built in. (Ubuntu, Mint, etc.) It has a built in firewall vastly superior to the garbage Windows firewall and as far as Flash is concerned, it's a non-issue with Linux, The same with Firefox and OpenOffice (Windows only faults) that completely take control of Windows, but are a non-issue with Linux. The application program itself may crash or be interrupted, but it is not going to allow complete take over of the entire computer and append it to a 15,000,000 computer botnet.

4. What are you trying to do, protect Microsoft? They are indefensible as far as virus infections go.

5. If you want a virus on Linux, you have to deliberately install it, and that's far beyond what most non-informed posters such as yourself are even capable of.

6. You should not write about things you have never used or never had experience with. Your post puts you in the midst of the thousands of non-informed lemmings posting about Linux without ever having used it. (And unwilling to try.)

7. People write viruses for Linux and they just don't work. There are thousands of viruses for Linux and they are also non-issues. Try and find a Linux user worried about getting infected with key-loggers, trojans, worms, spyware, botnets or about what AV program to buy. And it has nothing to do with market share, it's intrinsically different by design. AV programs for Linux don't protect Linux, but are designed to protect Windows computers on the same network.
