I am supposed to purchase a separate machine to copy DVDs when almost any movie I could want is available on BitTorrent et al to be stored on my computer hard drive (theoretically, of course)? If the MPAA can't make a dent against THAT, then this seems like a minor victory (assuming it is a victory) at best. While certainly a blow against consumer rights, consumers seem to be doing perfectly well demonstrating that consumers without rights quickly become non-paying consumers.
