Sure, forget about the law...

You say "whether the Supreme Court [...] do what's in the best interest of American consumers."

Sorry, but the job of the Supreme Court is to base decisions upon the text of the Constitution, NOT to decide on the wisdom of any provision therein.

How can anyone read "The transportation or importation into any State, Territory, or Possession of the United States for delivery or use therein of intoxicating liquors, in violation of the laws thereof, is hereby prohibited." from the XXI Amendment and come to any other conclusion other then each state being permitted to ban the sale of alcohol from out-of-state sources?

Is that stupid and anti-consumer? You bet. But it is NOT the Supreme Court's to over-ride the Constition, but to follow it in resolving cases. The only correct way to fix this in another Constitutional Amendment to repeal that provision of Amendment XXI.

That I'd support, but if the Supreme Court over-rides the clear text of the Constitution, it will be another sad day for our Republic.
