Nothing to do with Earth
NASA's greatest accomplishment had nothing to do with Earth.

It was getting man out of the cradle (actually an inevitable coffin... by
going to the moon.

It was a small taste of what could be man's destiny.

But we had better do it while we still have the resources and the time. In
another hundred years or so, we may not have the resources.

Then it will only be a matter of time.
