Good for Twitter
But what puzzles me is why anyone thinks the Internet is not vulnerable to outage and would base their life and business on such a weak foundation. I am amazed everyday how well the Internet works and have never assumed it will be that way tomorrow. How well will Twitter (or the Internet) work for you when you have no power? Power outages happen too...every system ultimately fails. We won't pay the price it would take for higher levels of reliability in the Internet or our electrical grid since investment is about returns and getting from 99.99% to some higher level is not worth the cost to most.
