I think going electric is great but is full of fraud at the moment!! Right now the electric car is claimed to reduce pollution, as well as dependence on oil. So where do the batteries get charged from? From polluting power stations in fact! So pollution moves from the exhaust pipe to the power station - that's all, no net improvement. What a fraud!!
