Tesla Electric Car

This opportunity to produce an electric car for the masses has been passed up. Just dont understand why the government on one hand talks about bringing about a revolution for alternatives to gas, but the time comes, the allow car makers like Tesla to get away with producing a car for the well off. Will they ever learn? I dont think any good is gonna come out this. We will keep doing this all over again and again till it is too late.
