Emmm...Could Be...
Could be, although except as a toy for the rich it's still not very practical at a projected cost of $194,000 for Day VFR only. Along with all the other shortcomings of a roadable plane that only holds 2 passengers in the Sport Plane category, it's slow.

That price is only a little under twice the cost of some planes that fit the "Sport Plane" category. For that I can pay for a lot of rides in a Taxi or buss. It's not a lot less than some of the newer and much faster aircraft. Currently going used I can get a really nice F-33 Bonanza from the mid 1980's for that and have over a 200 MPH cruise and near 1000 mile range that can fly rain or shine, day or night. Mine is a LOT older than that but can beat or match the airlines out to 1200 miles most of the time.

Getting on and off the actual strip from outside the fence at any sizable airport now requires an escort. At any place other than your home field that could be a major problem and even more so at the larger fields.

There are ways around most of these road blocks, but the DHS is really piling them up around airports.

Me? I'd like to have one just to see the responses from the local pilots (No I can't afford one and if I could I'd get something faster with longer legs).
