George Jetson...
I love technology. In particular I love learning and thinking about future technology. But this? As fun as it sounds it will never happen for 99.9% of the population anyway. Anyone who believes that "someday" we will all be commuting this way has watched too many episodes of The Jetsons or Star Wars. This is a dream, a fantasy, a cartoon. Most humans don't have the brain capacity to give this kind of transportation the amount of respect it demands. People can't handle driving in a two dimensional world, what makes anyone think we would do any better adding a third dimension? Pilots? Ok, great, I'll go along with that. Full fledged pilots could get away with this but as for the rest of the knuckle heads out there, not a chance. I'm not a pilot but only because I don't have the disposable income to fly for pleasure. It's always been a dream of mine to fly an aircraft. But I sure as heck wouldn't want to be up there if most people I've seen driving were going to be up there. No thanks, I'd rather take my chances in the subways when it starts raining Terrafugias.
