IF Atlantis is ever found to be more than a myth (compelling archaeological evidence on the island of Santorini is the best bet so far) it will not be in the deepest part of the Atlantic Ocean where there is no evidence of catastrophic volcanism in the last 5000 - 1000 years if there's any shred of truth to the legends.
