May be Google has alternate or a better feature than Multitouch
Yes the common rival is Microsoft .. That may be the hidden strategy..
To take on mighty Microsoft, Google defenitely needs to join hands with Apple , Red Hat , Open source community.. It is a simple principle my enemy's enemy is my friend.....

I always felt Google shows a lot of respect to other innovattive companies such as Apple ,Adobe etc .. That could be another reason why it agreed to Apple's stand..

Eric may have realized the genuineness of Apple's demand.. Google doesn't believe in plagiarizing and is a trully innovative company.

On the other hand, Google may be working a better technology than this... hence decided to concede
