Not really..
From your posts, you seem to think financing is everything. It is not. Eventually, they could have gotten funding from somewhere. What about all the other competitors? Where is their funding obtained? How about venture capitalists? Their funding is not from proprietary software.

Any idiot can write a check. The real talent lies in the designers, builders, and pilots.
