My congratulations also to the aviation visionary Burt Rutan and his pilots Brian Binnie and Mike Melville as well as all the people at Scaled Composites and the various subcontractors that made this feat possible.

I also agree that ZDNet is giving Paul Allen too much credit in this venture. Yes, he helped fund the project but do all venture capitalists get their name on the projects of the companies they helped finance? I think not. I guess they had to find some way to tie it into computer news...
