Why would you want ot slave labour?
I mean why do people flip burgers for minimum wage? That's basically slave labour. I did it when I was 15 and found that as I got more skills and better job I worked less like slave.

So what they are saying today is that software developement is that slave labour.

I guess it kind of makes sense in this day and age. When the average student graduating high school has to go to college for 2 years to get a minimum wage job.

Basically that means the education you got 20 years ago that got you a good paying job is no longer what gets you that good paying job. The coutries with the highest percentages of Citizen having post secondary education are in North America, those being the US and Canada. That means that those skills that were rare aren't so rare anymore. You can't take 2 year diploma course anymore and expect higher than average incomes.

The funny thing is that in the past 20 years with this drive to get post secondary education for more and more of the population caused the trades to take a dive in people going into be plumbers and electricians. Now these jobs can get you 6 figure incomes while being a developer gets $30,000 a year.
