Farm and dairy subsidies have worked for decades.
The auto and computer chip industries receive protections.
Just look at the protections drug companies have gotten. Their stock is going like gangbusters.
If the government treated those other areas like they treat tech workers, then everybodys COL would plummet and there would be little need to offshore or hire H-1B's and L1's.
