RE:Where ignorance is bliss.... tiss folly to be wise.....
Ok Tootse, Here's some more facts...

1) American legislators are voted in by Americans, NOT H1B Visa applicants. An American who looses his job because of a vote by his congressman is NOT likely to vote for him again!

2) Americans have lost and continue to loose JOBS as a direct result of these programs.

3) By increasing supply (via H1B Visa's), the sponsoring corporations negatively affect long term PAY for ALL targeted voications.

4) Students entering college aren't blind! They see the great suck on technical jobs. Why should they go into a vocation where they will likely be outsourced? Or at the very least their pay will be staginant. Where they will be competing with others who can work for less overseas? (Due to dramatically lower COL and payroll taxes).

5) The objective of the H1B Visa program is to keep jobs in America and to keep America Technically competitive... Or so they say! I submit that these objectives are being subverted by greedy opportunistic corporations. First off; they use the H1B program to train employees in the way of American business. Usually the "to-be" outsourced employee is the one training him. Then they export the jobs (at lower pay) overseas. Does this sound familiar? If it doesn't your eyes are NOT open!
