I have the beta installed on an Acer Aspire One (1GB RAM, 1.6 GHZ Atom, 160GB HDD) and it runs as fast as XP home on the one I bought for my wife. My initial "user experience" score was 2.3; they redid that app and it updated the process, so the machine now shows 2.1.
Personally, I like it but there are some interesting missings....can't use the menus in Windows Explorer to copy or move to folder; can find the equivalent of the RUN box - tough in a network when trying to get on some servers - but that could be my not knowing how things are supposed to be in this new version.
