RE: (Photos: From London to Timbuktu--in a flying car)
The prop isn't tiny!
The fastest, ever buildet single-engine-airplane Mooney Bravo has no bigger propeller - a 3 blade. Its propeller-dimension is the same, like on the picture seen, but the plane reaches a speed of 253 mph (cruising-speed 224mph)an altidude of 25.000 feet, and can tranport 4 people with baggage over a distance of 1.204 nautical-miles!

Fact is... Only the power and speed of the engine, and the aerodynamical qualitie of the propeller and airplane is important for an airplane to flight. A bigger propeller needs a more powerfull (more fuell-drinking) engine. A little one needs a engine less powerfull, but with more rotation-speed. Means... engine can be tinier, needs fewer gas, and also less weight in the plane.
For a plane in the dimensions of the "Sky-Car" in the picture, is the propeller-dimension truly right! Except the engine causes a rotation-speed above 80.000 rpm!

Air Creation has build a similar Airplane, named Trike, but more motorbike-like (tricycle!)
