That's the operating system with reduced media capabilities. Stupid to demand a crippled version of Windows, but, of course, Monti doesn't care about Microsoft. He just wanted the power to design software and other products for his office. Microsoft just happens to have a bad enough reputation that he thought this power grab would be allowed to set the precedent.

Microsoft's lawyer's statement sounds like a signal to Monti's replacement (I enjoyed typing that word) that a rational solution is possible. Let's hope the new EC leader (that types well, too) has enough sense and rationality tio take it.
