I really do not know anybody using OOXML. Because of the problems, almost
everybody using the new version of MS Office has switched it to always save in .doc format. I got some .docx attachments at first, but, that has pretty much stopped, as people realize that there are just too many that can not read it, and there is no advantage. The number of attachments from office suites, of ANY format is also declining.

Traditional office suites that format for 8.5x11 as a way to communicate is going away. We now send email, blog, tweet, or just share documents online. No formating for 8.5x11 required.
