My opinion is that AMD has been a better bang for the buck for the last decade. And perhaps all the intel pushers in the world need to realize that AMD is the only reason intel keeps their prices down. And to add to that, AMD is the only company forcing constant speed improvements. I remember what it was like when intel was the only chip vendor. We seldom got performance increases and chip prices were sky high. I for one will always be buying AMD products when I build pc's due to those facts.
