Why bother?
What I fail to understand is why Toyota is even bothering to have a vehicle such as this in a Hybrid form. There can be NO return on investment from the gas cost savings given the high price tag of these luxury vehicles. They simply allow the owner to "brag" that they are green and saving the world by using "a little less gas". So big deal, you go from 17mpg to 25mpg. That is not impressive, or worth the engineering time. Same goes for the Highlander.

The only Toyota vehicle where the Hybrid Synergy Drive makes any sense is in the Prius. You want to save gas and reduce overall fuel consumption for the entire country? Move from a vehicle that gets 17mpg to one that gets 48mpg. THAT MAKES SENSE.

Look at stupid GM, putting hybrid drive in huge Suburbans and Caddy Escalades. I mean really, spend the R&D money where it means something. Not on a vehicle that gets 10mpg to make it go to 17mpg. That's a JOKE. And GM wants $25 billion of my tax dollars. Go to hell.
