Good Grief -- Educate Yourself!

It amazes me how people will refute something without even spending ten seconds to Google for some facts. Ranting and raving without knowing any facts makes people look like complete idiots.

READ IT! Look for parts like this one, "For example, searches of documents and electronic
media are a crucial tool for detecting infomlation concerning terrorism, narcotics
smuggling, and other national security matters; alien admissibility; contraband
including child pornography, illegal monetary instruments, and information in violation
of copyright or trademark laws; and evidence of embargo violations or other import or
export control laws."

The 'excuse' for implementing these blatently illegal searches and siezures was to 'protect you from terrorists' but in fact, that is only a SMALL PART of what they're looking for.

Your new president Obama has probably already set the wheels in motion to grant the telecommunications companies immunity from prosecution for their crimes.

If you still don't believe -- spend a few hours googling for terms like 'waterboarding', 'extraordinary rendition' to see what's really going on. Or -- just stick your head in the sand, sing la-la-la and pretend nothing is happening.
