I just wonder if additional benefits of this method justifies the injury to one's dignity. I have seen the mistakes TSA can make. Some of which would not have been prevented by a full body scan unless a person carried their baggage with them through the scan.
Because of this, I think that the money being spent on these machines would be better spent on improved training for TSA employees.
